A STEP ABOVE THE REST

An Entire Look at Jimmy Choo

Ana Montoya
Who can forget the ever-stylish Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City and her insatiable addiction to shoes? It’s safe to say that the folks at Jimmy Choo probably can’t, as the TV show surely helped put this luxury accessories brand on the map. Founded in 1996 by Tamara Mellon,  a former Accessories Editor at British Vogue, along with Jimmy Choo, a couture shoemaker known for his excellent artisanship based in the East End of London, the company has grown to produce women’s shoes, handbags, small leather goods, eyewear, and sunwear. Mellon’s strategy was smart: infiltrate young Hollywood by offering Oscar nominees and presenters with customized shoes for their red carpet appearances. It not only made Jimmy Choo synonymous with the red carpet, but also helped the brand flourish into the worldwide phenomenon it is today with over 100 locations in 32 countries.

A SHOE IN
A-list fans of the brand like Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and even First Lady Michelle Obama know why they love Jimmy

Roxanne
Choo pumps, sandals, boots, bags, totes, and clutches. And Jimmy Choo sunwear is every bit as glamorous and chic as the other couture accessories that made the brand famous. Modern, intelligent women who enjoy fashion with a fun sensibility are sure to gravitate toward this sunglass collection. The line captures attitude, independence, and confidence while exuding a sexy, feminine, and sophisticated look.

There are 34 innovative and fresh styles in the collection. With details taken directly from the shoe and handbag lines, Jimmy Choo lovers are sure to be pleased by the stars in the sunglasses that are seen in the bags, as well as the snakeskin that is used in both the shoes and handbags. Leopard print is also featured in all of the collections.

PUT A SPRING IN HER STEP

Mini JJ

The Jimmy Choo customer is fueled by her desire to feel sexy, and these shades are sure to do just that. Mini JJ stands out with a knotted rope effect on the endpieces that draws attention to the style’s floating lenses. This rectangular-shaped frame comes in dark havana, purple, shiny black, tiger, and white.

Nico demands attention with its signature Jimmy Choo star detailing, studs, and interesting cutouts on the lenses. This modified oval wrap is available in dark havana, white, and shiny black.

Those with a fetish for animal prints will go gaga for Roxanne and Cass. The decidedly retro Roxanne is an acetate frame with an external Jimmy Choo logo on both temples and a star photoengraved on the left temple tip. A secret Jimmy Choo

Nico
plaque is hidden on the inner right temple for an added touch. Its color palette ranges from snake and gold snake black to red black snake and dark havana. Cass is slightly more conservative but with a shape that’s a mix between a Wayfarer and cat eye. Available in dark leopard, dark purplesnake, leopard, silver black snake, and gold snake black, Cass also features a photoengraved star on the left temple and a Jimmy Choo plaque on the inner right temple.

And for a more sleek and sophisticated look there’s Saki. This rectangular frame is classic with

clean lines and an engraved logo and metal plaque on the temples. Jimmy Choo offers Saki in plum, shiny black, and dark havana.
